Unlike the quick and light breakfast many of us have during the week, a fork breakfast is a complete, hot, and tasty meal, typically enjoyed on weekends or special days. And while every bar and home has its own traditions, there are some essential elements if you want to prepare one properly.

The essence of a smorgasbord breakfast is the main course. This is where variety and tradition reign: fried eggs with bacon or sausage, potato omelet, meatballs with sauce, pig’s trotters… These are powerful dishes, with intense flavor, designed to fill the stomach and replenish energy. No Catalan breakfast is complete without a good tomato bread. It doesn’t matter if you juice it before starting or if you use it to finish the sauce: it’s a key element and very much our own.
